If you are from the south or have ever attended any church down here, then you have sang, or
at least heard the song. 'Church In The Wild Woods'. Well a few days ago one of our very good
friends here at SGP told us of a church that was in the wild woods and was very primitive. You
know us, we piled into the truck and took off to see.
Now we wont give the location of this church. But we will tell you, it took a long time to get there! It
is indeed in the wild woods. There wasn't a house for miles in either direction!
Here are the photos we made on our little adventure this spring afternoon. Hope you enjoy them
as much as we did making them.

This was a truly interesting adventure! There is no electricity in the church, there is no
running water either! It appears as if services are still held here. Since our friend carried us
to this church a few weeks ago, we've carried some of our other friends to see it as well.
Everyone is amazed at it. Many of us would love to attend a meeting here. It seems as if this
place would put you close to the Almighty Creator! Everyone who has entered the old
building has felt something. Whether it is the lingering spirits of those members who have
passed on, a sense of Jesus, sitting unseen by human eyes on one of the benches, or
perhaps the over whelming love of God, this little one room church gives you a feeling hard
to explain. It makes you feel good to stand within the walls. You can fell the energy, The Holy
Ghost I suppose... And isn't that what religion is suppose to do? Make you feel close to God
and make you feel good about yourself? I think it is.

follows such discoveries by ignorant and closed minded people),
discovered this piece of driftwood in nearby Tallapoosa County, Alabama,
he brought it by our office.

In September 2006 Mr. Cox was riding his horse along Emuckfaw Creek. Emuckfaw, also spelled by some early settlers as 'Emucfau' & 'Emuckfau'
is a Creek Indian word meaning, 'gorget made of a conch' (shell). It was in this creek that Mr. Cox was checking and preparing places to do
trapping later this year.

pages. Almost 200 pages are the letters he wrote home. Plus a 5 page
introduction. Book contains photos of Sgt. Tidwell and his family. Also
Illustrations, copies of telegrams, and letters received by his family after his
death. There is a copy of the actual Western Union Telegram informing his
mother that her son had been
